Community Forge · YewForge Digital
Every month, we shine a light on a local charity, community group, volunteer organisation, school project, or cause making a genuine difference around Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.
We don't collect donations. We don't run campaigns. We simply believe that the people doing good work in our communities deserve to be seen — and we're glad to help with that.
This Month's Spotlight
One organisation. One month. A little more light.
July 2026 spotlight
Weston-super-Mare Foodbank supports local people in crisis by providing emergency food through a voucher referral system. They work with local agencies such as Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors, social services and local charities to help people access appropriate support.
Community Forge is highlighting Weston-super-Mare Foodbank because their work is practical, local and deeply important: helping people facing crisis access emergency food and support when they need it most.
YewForge Digital does not collect donations, process money, issue foodbank vouchers, or speak on behalf of Weston-super-Mare Foodbank. Visitors should use the official Foodbank website for current information about getting help, volunteering, donating food or supporting them directly.
Community Vote
Community voting opens once nominations have been reviewed and three local causes have been shortlisted. For launch month, YewForge has chosen Weston-super-Mare Foodbank as the first Community Forge spotlight.
Community Forge exists to shine a light on organisations where a little extra recognition can make a genuine difference. Public nominations are open now; voting opens once the first public shortlist is ready.
When selecting monthly nominees, YewForge will generally favour smaller local charities, new or emerging community organisations, volunteer-led initiatives, under-recognised local projects, and groups making a practical difference around Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.
This is not a popularity contest or an award. The shortlist will be chosen from suitable nominations, then the final spotlight will be chosen by community vote once voting is live. Established charities may still be featured where their work is particularly relevant or important locally.

Nominate a Local Cause
Tell us about them. We especially welcome nominations for smaller, newer, or under-recognised local organisations doing meaningful work around Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.
PipPup · Forge Scout
PipPup is YewForge's friendly forge scout — part puppy, part fox, part red panda, and all heart. He spends his days exploring the Campus, greeting visitors, and helping people find exactly the right place to begin.
Every month, PipPup proudly wears a new accessory in support of Community Forge and the wonderful organisations making a real difference around Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding area. This month he's wearing his leaf — a quiet nod to the good green work happening in our community. Keep an eye on his accessory; it changes with each new spotlight.
Wall of Recognition
This wall grows month by month. Every organisation here earned their place.

The Community Forge Promise
YewForge Digital is a new studio. We're still finding our feet, building our reputation, and figuring out what we want to be. But we knew from the beginning that we didn't want to wait until we felt "established enough" to do something meaningful locally.
Community Forge isn't a PR exercise. It's not a tick-box. It's our belief that every business — no matter how small or how new — has the ability to shine a light on the good work happening around them. Recognition costs nothing. Attention matters.
We're not here to speak for anyone, speak over anyone, or claim credit for anyone's hard work. We're just here to make sure the right people get seen — and to grow a little community of our own along the way.
Good work deserves to be recognised. We're glad to help with that.
