Desktop local start
In the NivKode desktop app, new conversations start on a local model when one is installed. Defaults in other clients vary.
We are developing Nivren to coordinate specialist models, memory, tools and applications. These are design goals; broader integrated behaviour is still planned.
What Nivren is
In the NivKode desktop app, new conversations start on a local model when one is installed. Defaults in other clients vary.
Models and tools are bounded contributors under one governed environment. Consequential actions need your approval.
Memory, evidence and system state are records you can look at, not things hidden behind a chat window.
Conversation is one possible interface. Other directions remain at different stages of development and are not public releases.
Ways in
NivKode 0.1.0 is a review candidate and remains in testing. Release approval and publication are pending. The launch target is and may move if testing finds issues.
The Harmony contributor licence agreement is a draft and is not operative.
Nivren Home is the internal test build for the NivDroid direction. It is not a public build.
A desktop direction for capable older hardware. There is no public build.
Small local models, NQ-0.5B, NQ-1B and NQ-3B, each to be published with its provenance label.
Model provenance
Nivren will grow more intelligence of its own over time and still use other excellent models where they are the better tool. Every model it uses carries one of these.
Model work genuinely produced and owned by Nivren.
Adapters, fine-tunes and derivatives of upstream models, under their licences.
External models and services Nivren routes to, and does not claim to own.
Evidence
The engineering journal separates demonstrated behaviour from design intent and records limitations.
Testing status
NivKode remains in testing; platform and provider results are not reported.
